GoPro and Red Bull Global Partnership
GoPro announced a partnership with Redbull taking place on May 24, 2016. this could mean big things for both brands.
Besids being an energy Drink company Redbull is always sponsoring all kinds of events and highlighting their sponsored athletes though their Red Bull Media House Content.
GoPro Has been innovating in and selling Action Cameras for a few years now. They feature a robust amount of interesting content on their Youtube and Facebook pages.
With a lot of similarities in moth brands we will have to see what kinds of projects they come up with as they form this Exclusive Global partnership. Specifically GoPro announced that the partnership will be for a "multi-year... partnership that includes content production, distribution, cross-promotion and product innovation." This means specifically that "Red Bull will receive equity in GoPro and GoPro will become Red Bull’s exclusive provider of point-of-view imaging technology for capturing immersive footage of Red Bull’s media productions and events."
This is exciting news for fans of both companies.
However it may not mean a lot of specific change. Red Bull has been using GoPro Cameras to capture great footage for years. Also Red Bull logos have been shown in GoPro videos all the time. Both companies have been working together for some time. Maybe both brands see a similar vision and saw how mush they already use each other. Its official for now. We will see how this effects content form both these big brands.
